Here is font rendering compare Qt5 QML Text {} item (left) and Ubuntu Character Map app on the right side
It seems that Qt's rendering engine gives pretty bad quality

native rendering doesnt works on android, for example

shame, I have the same result as you with Japanese kanji... Sharp corners and pointy ends don't render well.

and posted a fix for the quality
