I was looking through the docs for creating context menu's using QtQuick controls, and while the menu/menuItem combo is perfect for me, i would really like to style it to match the rest of my application. Looking back "in time" it seems that both style, platformstyle and other things was present at some point, and even styling components (such as MenuStyle) - this is however no longer in there? Or am i missing something?
In the end, i guess my question is, if there is some solution out there, or if i should roll my own context menu?
(also, for the future, is there any good way to hook into the QtQuick controls and define your own styles?).

This post is probably no longer relevant but just a FYI, Qt 5.3 has added MenuStyle; custom styling for Menu object in QML : https://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5/qml-qtquick-controls-styles-menustyle.html#frame-prop
