Designer and editor windows in split views

Hello Qt developers,
I am fairly new to Qt but I have some experience with Silverlight, which I find a bit similar to Qt. So far it has been a smooth learning experience with few bumps along the way. The only thing that bothers me still is that I can't get the designer and editor windows to show up in a split view (similar to Expression Blend). I looked around and I found that that can be done in Qt 4.5 version. I am using Qt Creator version 2.8.1 that is based on Qt 5.1.1 so I am not sure if it continued to support this. My question to you is do you know of a way to show the Design and Edit windows in the same screen?
