[Moved] Cannot retrieve debugging output in Qt Simulator

Hi

I am trying to run my Qt C++/QML app using Qt Simulator from within Qt Creator 2.1.81. It runs OK, but I would like to view console debugging output. However whenever I run an app, I get the error message:

"Cannot retrieve debugging output!"

I have seen "this web page":http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTCREATORBUG-3443 saying that it's a problem which happens when you have more than one instance of Qt Creator running at a time, however this isn't what's happening to me. I have never seen debugging output from any app, and always get that error message.

So did you file a bug report? Or does the existing one describe your issue fully?

so how do we check which process is not the current one? because I have this issue and checked with taskmgr that there's indeed two qtcreator.exe processes
