Hi - i have done quite alot of looking around and not been able to find a good method to record an area of the screen and save the file using Qt!
    (this is a windows app)
so far i believe my options are using Windows media api or GDI, however i have not seen these being used with Qt.
could anyone give me a good starting point of where to look at ?

    regards
    Tim.

Cheers, i am aware of the QPixmap method of acquiring a screen shot - however it is my understanding that that method is too slow to capture an uncompressed at a frame rate of 25fps or above.
