Palette changes in QtDesigner do not show in my application when I run it

Hello,

I have built several applications using QtCreator. I make my UI using QtDesigner and I can get everything to work. My only problem is when I change a color (for example a window bgcolor or button color) and run the application I don't see any of the palette changes. However, when I deploy the application to my embedded board, then I see the color changes. I want to know how I can see the palette changes when running my application from my desktop (Windows XP). It is getting frustrating not being able to see my final product just from running the app.

Just as an update. It works when I hard code the palette changes in my .cpp file however changes in QtDesigner to my palette still do not work.
