Thread names as tags
-
Hi,
I have stumbled upon a great number of tags being the thread names themself. Sometimes they have non-alphanumerical characters in them, preventing getting back to the thread itself (slashes, backslashes maybe?).
Here are some nice examples:
"Transparent Qlabel in Qt 3.0.3":http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/21319 and its "can anyone pls help me how to make auto click on the qpushbutton":http://qt-project.org/search/tag/can~anyone~pls~help~me~how~to~make~auto~click~on~the~qpushbutton tag
"QtQuick 2.0: Unable to find a renderable master window":http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/22797 with its "unable to find a renderable master window":http://qt-project.org/search/tag/unable~to~find~a~renderable~master~window tag
I highly "doubt they are a recommended way of tagging":http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/28213/#128342, but I nonetheless wanted to bring up the issue; some of them are new creations.
Thanks for your input,

AFAIK tags as long as those were not possible for quite a while. So, presumably some setting has changed.
Personally, I think the best way is simply to remove those tags, respectively, reduce them to something meaningful. You should be able to do this yourself.
The issue that rules are possibly good as long as they are obeyed. There is also the rule not to spam, but sometimes spam is popping up and will be removed. -
New forum threads are still tagged with full thread names. Example "here":http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/28705/, I removed the rest.
I hope that the person adding such tags will read this thread and stop such behaviour - I have no idea about the identity of this person.

Sorry for the example, I corrected it before seeing your post
