Anything like the linux tool called "expect" in Qt?

Hello,

under linux there is a handy tool called 'expect' that makes communication to serial devices like gsm-modems really easy and comfortable.
Is there anything similar in Qt that works on different platforms?
Especially Windows?
Or did anyone ever try to use a statically linked unix library via cygwin from Qt?
