I'm using the QfileDialog in several places on several platforms. For some reason when using it on REHL as root in some scenario (which I can't pinpoint) the right side of the dialog that contain the files list does not appear (gray area appears)

    !http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/7408/screenshotselectanexecu.png(No files section in QFileDialog)!

Any ideas what might be causing this on that specific system when running as root?
