Building Qt on 64 Bit Linux machine
-
Hi
I am trying to build Qt (4.8.3) on a 64 bit version of openSuse.At the end of the "configure" phase, I get the following error:
Basic XLib functionality test failed!
You might need to modify the include and library search paths by editing
QMAKE_INCDIR_X11 and QMAKE_LIBDIR_X11 in /home/Qt/Qt4/mkspecs/linux-g++-64.
/home/Qt/Qt4 is the directory to which I downloaded 4.8.3
I previously built Qt successfully on 32 bit openSuse (with exactly the same directory structure), but have changed my PC and installed 64 bit version. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong - or should I go back to using 32 bit version of openSuse?

Have you installed all the required 64-bit XLib packages (devel)?

I have got it working: libxext-dev was missing.
