How to compile & run single .c/.cpp file in Qt Creator 2.6.0?
I've been waiting for "this bug":https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTCREATORBUG-106 to get fixed and according to the link, it has been fixed in 2.6.0 version. But still if I open a single .c file build menu is disabled. I don't understand how to run a single file. Do I have to make some configuration changes???help!!!
Info: Qt creator 2.6.0 standalone binary was installed under /opt on Linux Mint 13 x86
Creator will now build single files that are part of a project (at least for qmake based projects). It will not build random files without build system.
Fastest way to get started with a project is most likely running "qmake -project" in the directory with the files you want to build. That will generate a .pro file for you.
Then why above mentioned bug report says 'fixed' for version 2.6 ?
Because you can compile a single file of your project without building everything else. That is what the bug report asks for.
