I wanted to find out if there was an existing QT framework or library which provided a timeline functionality similar to: http://almende.github.com/chap-links-library/js/timeline/examples/example14_past_and_future.html

I've spent much time searching, and haven't found anything that fits the bill. We have an aggressive schedule and don't have time to invent the wheel. We'd like to modify someone else's wheel.

      Welcome to devnet.

Even i couldn't spend much time on your link, however take a look at [[doc:QTimeLine]] and [[doc:QTimer]]

      Declaration of (Platform) independence.

I don't quite see how QTimeLine or QTimer should do what you want. You want a visualization of a timeline, i.e. a widget, right?

I am looking to end up with a GUI, which will visually display scheduled events to the user, as the current time indicator scrolls from left to right

I have only ever found one library that does something like this, and it was completely unusable to me as it was all in Russian.
