I posted this issue: https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTCREATORBUG-7788 and the resolution was that my "toolchain" is not setup correctly. When I to to Build&Run->Targets, I see "Auto-detected" and "Manual", and under "Manual", there is "Desktop (default), -GCC (x86 32bit), and [caution triangle] -Run locally" (why is there this yellow caution triangle?). I don't understand what this "run locally" toolchain is, and in fact the 3 of these all seem to be about the same (all using gcc)?

I see that you can setup toolchains: http://doc.qt.nokia.com/qtcreator-2.5/creator-tool-chains.html, but how do you assign a particular project to use a particular toolchain? The issue I reported seems to indicate that my project does not have a toolchain associated with it, so how would I assign one?

    Thanks,

    David

Hover the target and check the tool tip. That should give a hint about why creator thinks the target is fishy.
