What is the typical process to create an installer (.exe file) in Qt

I'm almost done with a small application that I created in Qt and now I'm wondering what would be the typical process to create an .exe file to distribute the application to different machines.

Can someone be so kind and work me through the process to create an .exe file?

Do I need a separate program?
