    Hi, DevNet community.

Inspired with "this":http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/18349 thread I've had an idea.

It would be great if there will be a Qt Creator's plugin which allow to integrate your QtDN profile into Qt Creator.

And it would be great to make some external archievments (not badges) for it.

If I want post thread on devent I can hold key-combo -> new thread in Qt Creator and I can extract it with my problem code in three clicks.

It would be greate (integrate QtDN to Qt Creator) because 90% of my worktime I am staying in Qt Creator. 5% - QtDD and 5% - I am playing Mines.

UPD: it would be greate to use QtDN profile as main Qt-developer profile. Then it will be possible to add archievments system on Developer Network instead of badges. I think that badges must be only Qt Certificated Specialst, Qt Certificated Developer, Qt Ambassador, Moderator and Troll. Other badges must be merged into archievments' system

This was discussed about a year ago. I think I remember someone actually creating a prototype, but then it stopped. I don't have time to search for that thread at the moment, will try later.

          Which achievements system? Just wondering;-)

Qt Creator is open source and any of its users should be able to just change the code of it to set any achievement they want. Where is the fun in that? Let's better keep this on the devnet where it is harder to fake achievements.

Where is benefit of having Qt Creator integrated with devnet forums or wiki? You are aware that you can already interact with devnet from inside creator if you care? Check http://twitpic.com/a18mox if you do not believe me.

I think that open-source should be the best guarantee of safety. But only if community is great and code is clear. It's real to make safe-synchronization which won't allow people to fake archievments. Idea to make them is really cool - it will motivate people to code together. It will be like small social coding network for Qt.

I think Tobias is refering to the fact that you can easily modify the plugin that you run on your own system to fake achievements. They need not re-distribute those modifations, so no-one can check. That deminishes them for everybody, even if you get only one cheater. And as we're all coders here, I expect a lot of the people here would be able to cheat if they want to.

                Andre, thanks for your reply.

Qt Cretor couldn't give archievments - only QtDN. And we all are honest people. E.g. I won't cheat in any situations.

But in general, Tobias is allright.

No, but Creator would need to supply the data for the achievements, right? How hard it is to manipulate that data? Almost trivial...

You are right. So I need to think about it...
