Auto-complete only show up when pressing ctrl + space

My fresh QT Creator 16 installation on my machine is having issue with the auto-completion features. I have both Clang Code Model plugin and Active Completion set to always but the auto-completely dialogue only display when I manually press ctrl + space. Do you guys have any fixes or suggestion for this issue? I have been looking online but most of the result are either for older QT Creator version or unrelated to my problem.

I have the same issue in Qt Creator 16, in additional it is more slow than 15 to check the syntax.

Still looking for solution but have yet to found any. As I mentioned above it is just posts about vintage QT Creator version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
