I'm not sure if Qt5 supports GCC 4.8 at all...
The last available Qt5 documentations states that you need at least GCC 5.0 for Qt5.
But there are also some very old topic here in the forum on early Qt5 releases.

@Pl45m4 older versions do support GCC 4, for example

I have 2 problems with the documentation.

1. It does not mention the buildroot toolchain
2. It is not clear which is the last version that is ok to use GCC 4 (4.8)
