Game on Qt/QML - Video
-
Hi,
I've been playing around with QML and did a video showing where I got thus far.
I'm tweaking the code, I've just recently found this:
http://cdumez.blogspot.com.br/2010/12/expose-nested-c-models-to-qml.htmlAnd I'm remodeling my code based on it.
Is this a good approach to expose the spaceships to QML?I've already used it on my work to expose files on a very dynamic list where those files are processed (going from 0% to 100%) and the list is constantly updated. It went smoothly.
Here's the video:

The code is working fine, here's a video to show the progress:

Thanks q8phantom!
Here's an animation test I made using QML provided with Qt 4.8. Using Rectangles and PathView.

Started to port to Mac and Linux, it looks faster on Ubuntu 12.10 64 bits inside a VM than on Windows 8.
I used macdeployqt on Mac but then I couldn't run the game, it seems it conflicted with the libraries from outside the package.
Had a similar problem on Ubuntu, it came with Qt4 libraries and I had to uninstall them to be able to run Qt5 projects.
I'm writing my progress here:

I downloaded the game and the graphic was stunning. It’s definitely a time eater. I am sure it will take several days for developing the code of this particular game. Anyways thank you for sharing the video and hope you will continue this effort in the future also! http://www.windows8installation.com
