Have you ahd a look at the "docs?":https://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/qfilesystemmodel.html#caching-and-performance

bq. QFileSystemModel keeps a cache with file information. The cache is automatically kept up to date using the QFileSystemWatcher.

But it is not update when size of file changed.

DId you call setRootIndex?

I always call setrootindex when change path in the model but i dont know how to force update model
