When current working code directory structure - especially name changes - it throws the compiler into a loop - sort off

Where is a good place to change the offending ?

    usb-Seagate_Expansion_NA833BDC-0:0-part4 is

is created by system and makes life complicated
    so

I change it into something humanly readable ( using Ubuntu Disks ) then I have to change it
apparently the compiler does no read it again...and uses the old ....

    where ?

13:13:19: Running steps for project BT_FT857_CAT_DEC13...
13:13:19: Could not create directory "/mnt/usb-Seagate_Expansion_NA833BDC-0:0-part4/BT__PROGRAMS/BT_FT857_CAT_DEC13"
    Error while building/deploying project BT_FT857_CAT_DEC13 (kit: Qt 5.15.2 (gcc_64))
    When executing step "qmake"
