QT designer snap to grid not working as expected

Hello,
the snap to grid does not seem to work as I expected it to. There always seems to be an offset inbetween the snap points that depends on where the object (button or whatever) was placed with the mouse. I would expect that when placing a bounding box that it would actually snap to the grid and not somewhere inbetween. Is there any way to actually snap things to the grid?
