Will Qt expand on the HTML4 subset that is supported for rich text?

Out of curiosity I have two questions:

1. Does anyone know why Qt limits to only a subset of Html4 within rich text components?
2. Does anyone know if Qt will be upgrading / expanding to Html5 within rich text components?
