qml error on scaffolded

Hi, and welcome!

What am I doing wrong?
You haven't done anything wrong; the project template is faulty.
When creating a new project, under the "Details" tab, I suggest unselecting "Create a project that you can open in Qt Design Studio".

Ok, by unselecting that option I get

@centz Did you install the Qt Virtual Keyboard module? If not, you can unselect "Use Qt Virtual Keyboard" (or you can install the module and restart Qt Creator)
By the way, I just noticed that you have Boot2Qt installed, which probably means you have a commercial Qt license. You can contact Qt Support to report issues or ask for help (see https://account.qt.io/s/support-center ) -- customer issues reported here are given higher priority.

@JKSH I installed the Qt Virtual Keyboard module through the maintenance tool for all existing Qt installations (6.2, 6.4, 6.5) and the error is gone, thanks!
I do not have a commercial Qt license yet; I am on trial and still have 7 days. If in the end some creepy girl jumps out of Qt Creator and attacks me ring-style I ll let you know ;)

Evaluation licenses can still create support tickets before expiry

🤣 You should be fine as long as you don't install the Qt Cursed Video module
