New Qt installation; compiling problems
armoured last edited by
I installed fresh copy of -QT- Qt 4.7.4 with the online install on Windows 7 x64. Installed with the default settings. My install path is C:\qtsdk.
My first project it has an error saying
No rule to make target
main.cpp', needed bymain.o'. Stop.
so i opened the addressbook example and tried to compile that aswell and i get this error
11:29:38: Running build steps for project addressbook...
11:29:38: Configuration unchanged, skipping qmake step.
11:29:38: Starting: "C:\QtSDK\mingw\bin\mingw32-make.exe"
mingw32-make.exe: *** No rule to make target
adddialog.cpp', needed byadddialog.o'. Stop.
11:29:38: The process "C:\QtSDK\mingw\bin\mingw32-make.exe" exited with code 2.
Error while building project addressbook (target: Desktop)
When executing build step 'Make'
How can i fix this?

Try to open Qt Creator:
Tools -> Options -> Build & Run -> Qt Versions -> Add...
then select where qmake manually ( I suppose it located in C:\QtSDK\Desktop\Qt\4.7.4\mingw\bin ) and mingw path ( I suppose it located in C:\QtSDK\mingw)

Compilers said "Configuration unchanged, skipping qmake step."
Do you try to force qmake step (in compile menu / run qmake ) ?
