    FWIW, the forum sticking the "preferred solution" right underneath the OP post is lame. Doing that breaks the timestamped response list, which is more valuable in tracing thread activity.

      Yep, it's confusing. Especially when there is only one reply and it gets displayed twice (once as solution and another time as a "normal" reply).

        I don't feel too strongly about it, but it can be a little confusing. Perhaps a more obvious set-off to denote that it's out of sequence (for a reason) would be in order.

          I think it's better suited for SO style content, where each reply is its own thing. Not here, where it breaks the more loose conversation style of discussion. Not all NodeBB features will fit all of its instances. I don't know if it's configurable, but if enough people don't like it maybe it can be turned off? You have my vote if it mattes :)
