    Hi all -

I'm sure someone here has some knowledge about animated GIFs (probably applies to regular GIFs too). I've been given such a file to use as a splash screen (more about that in another topic). When I open it in an ApplicationWindow using QML Video, it appears on a white background.

I've tried putting a black rectangle behind it, but the GIF just covers the rectangle.

So, my question: is this something that was done incorrectly with the creation of the GIF itself, or do I have some control over it? There doesn't seem to be anything in the Video type that gives me any control over this.

I probably should point out that when I open the file in Creator, it seems to have a transparent background, so I'm not sure what's going on. Perhaps Video provides a non-transparent background for me?

    Thanks for any insight.

OK, I found the answer: AnimatedImage.
