Trying to install 64 bit Linux (Fedora 16) Qt_SDK

  • Kind of new to Linux but get the error (cannot execute binary file) when I try to run the command as logged in as root,
    ./Qt_SDK_Lin64_offline_V1_2_en.run
    any ideas?
Also is there a command I can run from a terminal that tells the version of fedora installed, want to make sure I installed the 64 bit version?
Unfortunately I cannot connect this computer to the internet.
    Thanks Paul.

  • check if executable flags are set for the file (ls -l). if not do "chmod +x Qt_SDK_Lin64_offline_V1_2_en.run" and try to execute it again.

IIRC you can check the fedora version like this "cat /etc/fedora-release"

  • You can also check linux version by this:
    @
    uname -a
    @
