QWizard and radio buttons

I'm building a non-linear wizard. The first wizard page has two radio buttons and depending on the user choice the wizard should go one way or another.
How I can remember which radio button was activated? As I understand,
registerFieldis not an option as both of the radiobuttons can not be required.As a workaround I use a hidden QLineEdit which is populated with some constant text depending on the activated radio button. But maybe there is a more correct way of doing this?
