Qt Designer, can't drag and drop widgets

Every time I try to drag any of the widgets, it makes the cursor look like this and doesn't put it at all.

I am on Fedora 38 Workstation.

Can confirm. Drop suddenly stopped working. I am also on Fedora 38.

I also get this on Ubuntu 23.04. I think this is related to Gnome 44 / Mutter and there is a already an issue: Drag&Drop not working in Qt-Applications

I had the exact same problem on Fedora 38.
I found a workaround that solves this problem for me. Just wrote a shell script wrapper around the qt program, like so:

#!/usr/bin/env bash

QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland ~/qtcreator-9.0.2/bin/qtcreator

So setting the QT_QPA_PLATFORM environment variable to wayland does the trick!
