Hi! I just wanted to know if anyone can explain the meaning of the name, because it would imply that the other way of doing things is slower , ie widgets .

@agmar I think originally it was mean to be some acronym but it's meaning is lost to history.

And in general it is faster to prototype stuff in QML so the name makes sense.
