    Hi all,

This Qt doc states that the minimum Windows version supported by Qt 6.2 is 1809 which correlates to build 17763.

Now, we have quite a few customers who run earlier versions of Windows Server in particular. There are quite a few versions that haven't reached end of support yet, see here.

    My questions are:

    • Is the 1809 minimum requirement true for Windows Server, too?
    • What exactly makes Qt 6.2 require version 1809 minimum?
    • Do different Qt modules have different requirements? Is there a per-module list of minimum requirements? Would our Qt 6.2 application run on older platforms if critical modules are not used?
    • Are all potential issues caught at link time, or could they happen only later when the application is run (think of subtle API incompatibilities)?
    • Anything else to think of?

    Thanks for your help.

@ribberlin2 It would be better to ask these questions on Qt developers mailing list as this is user forum.
