Qt Creator 8.0.0 is too slow

When I modify design in 2D window of my QML app. The App is every moment stuck, It is practicly impossible to work in this 2D mode. Is there any bug, or can I repair it?

No one has similar experience? The program freezes almost all the time. It is useless :(
It is the same on Ubuntu and Windows!

I have a similar issue and I'm trying to "downgrade" it to QT Creator 4 or 5.
Do u know how to do it or do u have any alternatives?

You can install the older Qt Creator versions from here: https://download.qt.io/official_releases/qtcreator/, https://download.qt.io/archive/qtcreator/
Also, I would suggest to update to Qt Creator 8.0.2 to check for this issue there as well. Additionally, there is Qt Creator built using Qt 5: https://download.qt.io/snapshots/qtcreator_qt5/, which could solve your issue.

I made a mistake not paying attention to small "Updates available" and some other similar label - by the way covered by "building" pop-ups...I could not build / rebuild etc because I run , by mistake , build" and "update ' SAME TIME !!!! I had to reboot and AFTER reluctantly I run ANOTHER update to 8.0.2 !!! I do not know whose problem, but "update" and "build / run" cannot be done SAME time AKA multitasking is a no- no .

@Cobra91151 for me to updating on 8.0.2 did not help, still too slow, and Designe mode is basicly stucked all the time... I am going to download some older version.

@Witc can you share the details of your computer? Like CPU, Memory, GPU etc. Qt Creator has this information available at Help -> System information....

Your machine should be fine. It looks like a regression. Please open a bug report at https://bugreports.qt.io/ for "Qt Creator" and the component "Quick Designer".
