QLineEdit buggy display on MacOS X

Hi all,

I have a strange problem under MacOS X (10.7). All my QLineEdit display the content with a left margin: !http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/9512/screenshot20120201at343.png!
I have this problem for quite long time now. I was hoping that the today update will correct this problem. But no, even with the brand new 4.8.0 the problem is here.

If someone has a clue, thanks to answer.

The lineedit looks like it was just dragged onto the widget... Did you add a layout to the TestWidget?

Yes it was just for the test. But it changes nothing if the QLineEdit is in a layout.

Another important information, the problem seems to persist when I deploy the application on others Mac (10.7 too).

Strange, I found the same issue in my program: two out of three line edits in a dialog show it. I could not figure out what triggers it. Did anybody file a bug already?

I found this "bug report":https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-19513. But this is marked as no reproducible.

It is definitely hard to reproduce. I will give it a try.

I have made an App bundle for you to test ("download here":http://www.mediafire.com/?5z3zawi5e5btd5q).
Can you tell me if you have the problem on your Mac. The line edit on the top is created with the designer, the line edit on the bottom is created programmatically.

Ok, report: Both line edits show the same buggy behavior. Indentation on the left. Will you submit a bug report? Cheers! Mirko.
