Qt Assistant deployment

I am using Qt Assistant 5.12.5 to display custom help files on Centos 8.
I need to use these same help files using Qt Assistant 5.9.7 on Centos 7.Qt Assistant 5.9.7 on CENTOS 7 does not work when called with the -collectionFile parameter. So l am packaging Qt Assistant 5.12.5 in the program binary as a resource.
Although I copy the executable out of the resource and execute it with the complete path, the older version of Qt Assistant (5.9.7) executes.
Is it possible to deploy Qt Assistant 5.12.5 on CENTOS 7?
If Qt Assistant 5.12.5 will run on CENTOS 7, what am I doing wrong?
