Adding a "ui" to an empty Project template

Hi there,
i am looking to get startet with QtQuick and got stuck on the question what is the right way to add a "ui.qml" to the corresponding "main.qml". I can add a new set of files say "test.qml" + "testForm.ui.qml" over the context menu but i fail to add a "main.ui.qml".
I'd appreciate some assistance as well as some pointers to good lecture audio. video or written i also fail to find these.

It seems that this is some sort of GUI Issue under Qt6 with linux. I reinstalled QtCreator and used Qt 5.12 and now when i switch to the Designer in an empty project i can see a "canvas" and put components on it. So its solved for me.
