qtcreator crashes

Hi,
I'm running Qt Creator on a Debian virtual machine.
It worked perfectly until a few days ago, but now I'm not able to launch qtcreator anymore.
Apparently nothing has been changed in the virtual machine.

The qtcreator window appears for a moment than it closes.

If i run qtcreator from command line, this is the error message:

LLVM ERROR: Do not know how to split the result of this operator!
Segmentation fault

Any ideas?

As far as i understand from google its a
LLVM bug but should be fixed a long time ago.

Would it be possible to update to a newer version?

Also, between it worked. and then stopped. can it be that you reboot the WM ?
(versus pausing it)
