    Shamefully borrowed from Code Project

    When answering a question please:

    Read the question carefully
Understand that English isn't everyone's first language so be lenient of bad spelling and grammar
If a question is poorly phrased then either ask for clarification, ignore it, or mark it down. Insults are not welcome
If the question is inappropriate then click the 'vote to remove message' button

Insults, slap-downs and sarcasm aren't welcome. Let's work to help developers, not make them feel stupid.

    1. reading skill , minimum at kindergarten level, is prerequisite to post
    2. it is no shame if you do not know the answer, just do not post nonsense just because you can

Fully agree with the Code Project guidelines.

The added "reading" advice would apply to both answerers and askers.

  • I truly miss the era when sarcasm was an implicit part of online forums, and people accepted that if they wanted help from the gurus then they should expect "less than gentle" dialog.

  • @Kent-Dorfman
It's still alive: in this forum! I can be grumpy at times when answering, and I know of a certain expert here whose replies are very good yet often delivered in a "non-gentle" fashion... ;-)
