    Hi all,
I'm trying to watch some "videos":http://developer.qt.nokia.com/videos#t-devdays~2011 about DevDay2011.
    I'm on Linux using Firefox 8.0.1 .

I have some problems while watching because sometimes the video stops and I must refresh the page to un-block it. The problem is that when I refresh the video start again from the start and I can't move the "bar" to go to my last position.

Isn't there a way to show videos without using Flash Player ...?
Is there a way to download the videos and watch them offline?

It causes a lot of problems in my Linux system.

I saw that for "DevDays2010":http://download.qt.nokia.com/videos/DevDays2010/TrainingDay/ it's possible to download videos but not for "DevDays2011":http://download.qt.nokia.com/videos/DevDays2011/TrainingDay/ .

      Will that videos be downloadable?

@Luca. videos from the 2011 Qt Developer Days are in 720p HD and are streamed at a high (up to 2.5Mbit) bitrate to get the max quality. This is why it takes some time until the buffer is filled if the internet connection is slow. "Scrolling" takes time for the same reason.

On top of that, the Flash Player has problems with may 64bit systems. For examples, it does not work on my Linux 64 desktop with the same Firefox. It works on an notebook with Linux 64, but only for the first minutes, then the Flash Player crashes... The streaming server is able to serve videos in HTML5 if the browser supports this. Which browser really does it properly is currently a big puzzle... My Firefox 8.0.1 is not recognized as a valid HTML5 browser...

We plan making downloadable videos in a smaller size later after all videos went out for streaming. Stay tuned.

I'm sorry for the trouble you might have. Video on the web is still a very tricky thing...

Might I suggest you put up the full-res versions as torrents? People seem to have no trouble whatsoever to download complete 2 hour movies in HD, so a DevDays vid should not be an issue either in that way :-)

For me it's a very good idea!

I also have trouble with videos.
Videos from developer days 2011 do not work. The player loads and it does nothing, showing only the loading cursor. For example this one: http://developer.qt.nokia.com/videos/watch/intro-to-qt-sdk-and-cross-platform-development

Older videos (eg from 2010) seem to work.

Yes, torrents or an ftp place would be nice.

i have trouble to view the videos too (because of a very restrictive proxy).
Please, make the DevDays 2011 videos available for download!
(especially the webkit and android topics are very interesting!
                    Please!

I have a similar problem as lucas...No download option for devdays 2011 videos, I also left comments on the videos regarding this. My internet is quite slow...watching online is quite frustrating.

++++1 for torrent release...as this will take load off servers and high quality of videos can be maintained.

If I have probem with Firefox Flash Plugin, I use VLC.
VLC is much reliable for this purpose, VLC can read very good this kind of streams.
