    Hello,

I would like to start a GUI application from the Python interpreter such that the PySide GUI starts in its own thread.

This is because I am starting the PySide GUI from a C++ application using Python C-Api and the C application needs to continue its execution as well as share information with the GUI through the Python context.

There seems to be limitations on running app.exec() from threads and that's the problem. I wasn't able to start a new Python thread from which I can start the Pyside GUI.

Any suggestions? Is there a way to run app.exec without blocking?

    Kind regards

    Chahé
