Unsolved Visual Studio Extension settings not sticking

I am trying to change the settings in the VS extension so that it doesn't ask me to check out every time I edit a .ui file, but the settings wont stick. I change it and hit OK and when I check again it's back to default. Seems to apply to all options.
Does anyone know where these settings are suppose to be stored so I can manually edit the settings file?
