A number of proxies not appearing to deliver Open Source Online Metadata effectively
-
Note that this is related to: https://forum.qt.io/topic/122837/download-qt-io-is-down/64
Clearly a number of auto-selected proxies are not delivering the metadata effectively - and this is causing issues across the OpenSource community.
Being in AU I am auto-directed to mirror.bit-edu.cn. Sometimes I can get 99% of the metadata before an abort (see image)... Sometimes it does not get there at all.
I am aware of https://wiki.qt.io/Online_Installer_4.x#Selecting_a_mirror_for_opensource ... This is fine BUT I work with scripts that pull from your latest Installer (i.e. from https://download.qt.io/official_releases/online_installers/qt-unified-windows-x86-online.exe ) and often what is pulled does NOT support the manual repository selection tag documented.
Can you please look into these issues - all started when the download.qt.io server source went down.
Can you provide an option also to perhaps EXCLUDE a proxy (such as the .cn server that is causing issues here) from consideration in serving resources?
Can you perhaps look at making an offline installer for the Qt 5.15.2 stream available interim while these niggling issues are sorted?

Hi,
You should open a ticket on the bug report system. This is a user forum and you are less likely to get your demand seen.
