Installation issues (network when installing metadata)-- and No Kits Suitable

but i cant install the QT client i chose open source as im just a student

Have you installed a specific Qt version / compiler combination in the Qt online installer?

If you're unsure, check the 'Kit' section in the Qt Creator Settings. Are there any 'Auto-detected' Kits?

@kkoehne There were 2 auto detected kits as shown in the image but they are unselectable.

The online installer fails about 58% through with a network error, Ive tried with and without VPN so IDK whats going on there.
