Building GDB helper failing

I'm trying to build the debugger helper for a new project (in a new session, if that matters). When I click on the build button for "GDB Helper" I get the following error message:

bq. Reason: Failed to remove directory '/Volumes/1_TB_HD/Users/mzimmers/Library/Application Support/Nokia/QtCreator/qtc-debugging-helper/19485055/'.Build failed.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.
