Mac: can't set breakpoints inside Qt source

i'm able to step into Qt source, but when i attempt to set a breakpoint there, the tiny "hourglass" symbol on the breakpoint shows that it remains unresolved.

note i DO have "Sources" installed (obviously) and also "Qt Debug Information Files".

problem happens with many recent versions of Qt: 5.15.1, 5.15.0, 5.14.2 etc
