Unsolved Msys2-Mingw64, Qt-library installation
-
Dear All,
hello,i am a newbie in Qt-programming API environment.
i have Windows 7 (64-bit), Msys2-Mingw64 installed in my computer.
i installed qt5-package using "pacman -S ...". however, even some simple examples (for example, "hello_world.cpp") copied from Internet do not work, that is they show many error-messages. as far as i understood (from Internet) i have not installed all Qt-packages (additional) that support the entire Qt-programming environment (API) in Msys2-Mingw64.
for this reason, to be certain, and to be sure, that i am doing, and am going in a correct way using Qt5-package (in Msys2-Mingw64), i would like to ask someone(s) in the Forum, whether it is feasible to compile (configure, make, install) the source code of the entire (!!!!!) Qt5-library (package) in Msys2-Mingw64 ?
where (an Internet-link ?) could i downlowd the source code of Qt5-library (that includes installation of "qmake" too) ?
is there (an Internet-link ?) detailed (!!!!!) manual (or, instruction) describing all stages, step-by-step, how to install (and, to compile) the Qt5-library in Msys2-Mingw64 ?
Thank you.

Hi and welcome.
I don't use msys2 Qt because I need to use a specific old Qt version instead of the latest.
But it has most of the qt modules and should work for most qt examples. (Webengine module is not supported though.)
Building using msys2 shell should be just like using command line from any other command prompt.
You need to start from MinGW shell instead of MSYS to use qmake directly.
If you want IDE you can also install qt-creator by pacman.
There aren't many information about msys2 from Qt website and most of them are about how to build Qt from source, which I think you don't need to.
I think this is more useful for building from shell: Getting Started on the Commandline.
But command line is mostly used to build existing projects. If you'll need to create your own, better to use qt-creator.And your description is tooooo vague.
i installed qt5-package using "pacman -S ...".
What's "..."?
even some simple examples (for example, "hello_world.cpp") copied from Internet do not work, that is they show many error-messages
What examples? How did you build them? What error-messages?
