When I double click on a .ui file in VS2019 with VS/Tools 2.5.2 I expect it to open Designer - it doesn't.

Similarly for a .ts file and Linguist!

Before I report this as a bug, what diagnostics can I collect?

I can run Designer and Linguist just fine outside VS.
