How to store dynamic objects

Hi all,
Is there any way to store the items that are created dynamically? If e.g. I have an application where I can use a button to dynamically add an object to my scene, how can I store that, so it is automatically loaded on application startup. One possible solution might be to use Settings but I was wondering if there is a more automated functionality to support such case.
