clang-format plugin on Manjaro

Hi,
I am have problems using the clang-format plugin in QtCreator on Manjaro Linux.
I use it at work on kubuntu and it works fine, but at home I'm getting a 'failed to initialize plugin - not built with patched version of clang' (or similar) error. I've googled and found mentions of this problem, but no solutions.
How do I fix this?
I am using QtCreator 4.11.0 (the latest release in Manjaro repos) and Qt5.12.2 (have to 'coz of work).
