Cmake Toolchain file

Hi,
We cross compile our project from Linux to Windows and therefore work with toolchain files. Testing I mostly do in Linux. In order to stay consistent, is it possible to set up Qt-Creator to use the toolchain file I would use if I do a built outside of creator? I also specified the Qt5_DIR and Qt5_QMAKE_EXECUTABLE there.
When I try to add the CMAKE_TOOLCHAIN_FILE variable in the QtCreator Build settings as CMAKE variable, I don't manage to get it working.
Does someone know how this could be possible?
