Click here to see the error message.

I know nothing about Qt but no one can help me with this so I figured I'd ask here. This error is preventing the program's executable from launching. I know there are different versions of Qt and that can cause problems. Can anyone help me out? Thank you very much in advance.

          Hi
Can you give a bit more details of what you are doing?

You build the app yourself and this happens when you deploy and run it or it is this one
          https://www.avid.com/sibelius
and you just downloaded it and it says that when you run it ?

It seems to be using the DLLs included in its folder so
          that seems fine.

Hi, also (just guessing) if you have any antivirus program running, try disabling it.

@mrjj I'm using the packaged installer from the Avid website. The executable shows that message once installation is complete.

@hskoglund Someone else suggested that. I'm running Windows Defender and MalwareBytes. However, I've tried uninstalling MalwareBytes and running the exe again to no avail.

Hi, one more guess, if you are on the fast ring/Windows insider's program, try going back one build.

Did you try to ask Avid about it ?
They might not have tested with the latest win 10 version.

@hskoglund I'm not, I'm on the public builds.

@mrjj I have asked 4 people at Avid including the CEO and have gotten absolutely NO response back. One person who's not on the official Avid team did suggest the antivirus thing.

If it helps, I rolled back to the previous version of Sibelius, which also has the Qt5core.dll and it works fine on the same machine.

                      Hi
Hmm, since it close source and no mention of what Qt version used,
im not sure we can do so much here.

Normally something like this could happen if it found some other version of the Qt DLL,
but it seems to point to its own folder so that seems unlikely.

Do you use the free version or is it the ultimate ?

@mrjj I'm using Ultimate, but it's a free trial. You can download it on the Avid website here.

ok. sadly it requires an account to download.

Could you type winver in search and run it and tell me the exact version ?
I guess on 1909 but it would be nice to know.

@mrjj It takes less than a minute to make an account. User name, password, email, then it sends the download to your email.

My Windows is 1909, build 1863.752.

                              THIS THE REAL SOLUTION

                              Before installation:
Uninstall the previous version before installing the new version!
If you have Avid – Sibelius Ultimate 2019.4.1 build 1408 installed,
be sure to manually delete this “netapi32.dll” file from the C:\Program Files\Avid\Sibelius\ folder, otherwise you will get an error when starting the new version “The entry point to the NetShareEnum procedure is not found in DLL C:\Program Files\Avid\Sibelius\Qt5Core.dll.”
